Lock Upp is a reality show that will be hosted by famous actress Kangana Ranaut. This show is Produced by famous Ekta Kapoor and she is also the creator of the show.

Lock Upp show involves locking controversial celebrities in the Kangana Ranaut jail cells and demanding the truth, asking some questions to them based on demand. In a press conference producer Ekta Kapoor said, "In the last two years, there are few celebs who haven't heard the word FIR, legal fees. So, here is a show where people are locked up in jail with the concept of bail.”

Lock Upp Reality Show

Lock Upp show will have 16 contestants and Kangana Ranaut herself “will be vetting the contestants and finalizing them." The contestant will be locked in jail for 72 days.

Lock Upp team already decided that this reality show will be full of controversies. Ekta Kapoor the producer and creator of the show said about the show that the show will be “full of truth and controversies.” Kangana Ranaut also release a statement that the show is going to be very spicy and people going to love the show, and she said, "Our winner will not be a goody-two-shoes. That person does not carry the burden of being liked or not. They will be brutally honest."

Ekta Kapoor says, "This is Kangana's lock-up. She will be in charge here. She has had a lot of FIRs coming her way. Now she can issue some.” She also mentioned that this is probably the first time when a celebrity with FIRs against them is doing a TV show to enact doing the same to others.

Kangana Ranaut asked that this show is similar to Bigg Boss then she replied that “Ye koi aapke bade bhai ka ghar nahi hai, yeh mera jail hai. I will have files of every contestant and their truth.”

Ekta Kapoor said that “We don't need international formats. Why should we copy from there? For the last two years, everyone is locked up ghar me. Now there is nothing new to that. The new thing is being locked up in jail. (sic)" Okay then! She comes up with the ‘Make In India’ approach.
